On February 29th, 2016, The Generations Project introduced the Leap Year Time Capsule that will be opened and sealed each Leap Year. Several people gathered to put a self-written page inside the time capsule including. Our advocates also had the opportunity to fill out Q&A forms and ask a series of questions to someone of a different age range. At the end of the Leap Night, Peter Staley shared a story and placed the first envelope in the time capsule. Others followed and signed their names on a wooden slab inside the time capsule. The Leap Year Time Capsule will reside in an apartment on West 34th street much of the year and be featured at various events in NYC until the new year. It will be reopened again on February 29th, 2020.
